Threshold occurs as progressive metal band formed in Surrey, England in the late 1980s, releasing their debut album Wounded Land in 1993. Original singer Damian Wilson parted subsequently, & a band recruited Glyn Morgan for 1994's Psychedelicatessen. A band recorded over againside in 1997, with Wilsin back at a mike on Extinct Instinct. 2 weeks prior to Threshold were to start recording 1998's Clone, however, Damian Wilson dead left, however was replaced by owning Andrew "Mac" McDermott (ex-Sargant Fury) who remains using the two now. Mack recorded Clone, & went in to front a band in 2001's Hypothetical, 2002's Critical Mass, 2003's live effort Critical Energy, which was also freed in DVD, & 2004's Subsurface.

Threshold is currently considered one of a leading ProgMetal elastic, alongside Dream Theater, Queensrÿche and Ayreon.

Previous members: Damian Wilson: Vocals Glyn Morgan: Vocals Jon Jeary: Bass Guitar Several drummers played sustaining Threshold prior to Johanne James, touring drummer for shows in trend lines of Extinct Instinct & Clone, joined a band to the full period around 2000.
